Hello there! 


My name is Amy LaRoche and I'm excited to say that this is my first year teaching Special Education - I am even more excited to be starting my career in this great district and the community of Maple River! I recently graduated from Minnesota State University - Mankato with my Bachelors Degree in Academic Behavior Strategist (aka Special Education).  I also have two degrees from Saint Paul College which include an AAS in American Sign Language Interpretation and Transliteration, as well as a certficiate in Deaf Studies.

Family: I am the youngest of three children → Dad, Mom, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Nephew, Niece, Sister. 

Favorite Activities: Travel, binge watch Netflix shows, play with my black lab Stella, spend money at Target, and being with family. 

Can't live without: Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, pumpkin spice flavored anything, dogs, music, the NFL, junk food - especially Reeses with the m&m pieces inside, berry flavored Mike n Ikes, and tropical Starbursts! 

Fun random facts: The New England Patriots are my favorite football team (Don't worry the Vikings are a close second), I went to Super Bowl 52 at U.S. Bank Stadium, I've traveled to 26 states, I played 4 instruments growing up - Flute, Piccolo, Violin, and Cello, Christmas is my favorite Holiday, Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons.
