Mrs. Samantha Gartner

Hello Students!

My goal for you and for Maple River as a whole, is to make learning fun and worthwhile as mathematics is required for high school graduation, collegiate education, and more importantly required in virtually every career field in some way.  The curriculum we have set at Maple River is aligned with the Minnesota Academic Standards in Mathematics, and I have no doubt that we can achieve at these high levels of expectations and I am excited to lead the way.

As the Honors Geometry, College Pre-Calculus, and College Calculus teacher, I am always looking for ways to bring real life application and excitement into the classroom in a way that will challenge you to think deeper about mathematics.  If you are taking Pre-Calc or Calculus for college credit through SMSU or would like to, please feel free to ask myself or Mrs. Ann Langworthy about your options.  If your willing to work hard and put in the effort it takes to be successful, I would love to have you in class!

Always looking forward to a great year!

Number one thing to know about me...I LOVE DISNEY!!
I was lucky enough to have had the chance to visit Disney World with my husband Reese (shown in picture) and my mother Sherry who also works at the school.  To me Disney is my HPC - my Hokey Pokey Corner where I go to turn myself around!  Disney is my stress relief when having a bad day as it's messages are positive and uplifting.  What's in your HPC?

Teaching is only one of the many hats I wear.  I am also a student, coach, wife, and proud pet momma to my dog Nala and cat O'Malley.  I am working on my Master's Degree in Eduction with a Math Emphasis through SMSU.  I enjoy coaching volleyball, though had to take the year off in order to focus on my own homework.

Glad to have you in class and hope your ready to love math as much as me!
