    Introduction to Education

    This course encourages students to examine and reflect on the reasons they are considering going into teaching. Participants practice reflection, self-study, assessment, and action research. Students and instructors develop a perspective that relationships between learning and teaching are important factors in the education process. The lab portion of the course involves a minimum of 15 hours assisting in a K-12 classroom to get first-hand experience working with students.
