ACT Test Information
What is the ACT?
The ACT Test is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions.
Does Maple River offer the ACT?
YES, the ACT is offered to Maple River High School juniors annually, usually in April. There is a fee for this test; however, for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch, the test is free. Families will receive an email from Mrs. Langworthy about this year's test with registration instructions. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Mrs. Langworthy.
Prep Clinic
Mrs. Langworthy hosts an ACT Prep Workshop each year. Students will be shown how to handle each question type, gain points when answers aren't obvious, effectively study at home, improve speed and accuracy, and control the timing of the test. To register, visit ZAPS ACT Test Prep Seminar. Financial assistance may be available; Contact Mrs. Langworthy.
Accommodations
Students with a disability may qualify for accommodations for college entrance exams, such as the ACT/SAT. For details, could you talk to Mrs. Langworthy or visit the following websites: ACT or SAT/College Board for information about accommodations?
